Chang Wang

Chang Wang, born in Chongqing, China. As an aspiring designer, I aim to create dialogues between myself and my audience, the people who wear my creations, finding ways to both express my ideas and allow them to express their own. I have been exploring, developing, practicing, and focusing my thoughts on the combination of jewelry and installation art. During my study at RCA, I combined fashion accessories with a passion for cultivating self-awareness and seeking the connection between 'body', 'fashion' and 'design', hoping to enhance communication and interaction through my creations.

When people are communicating face to face, our bodies and expressions are silently communicating with the environment.

Perhaps we never realize that our bodies act as both receivers and transmitters in communication, speaking all the time and unconsciously conveying our own thoughts, feelings and emotions.

In communication, we judge the likes and dislikes of each other by their facial expressions, determine intimacy through body language, and indicate interpersonal relationship through spatial distance.

Studies have shown that up 80% of interpersonal communicate is non-verbal.

I want to interact with the audience through my works and communicate with them emotionally in the most intuitive, pure and effective way.
