There is a strong interrelationship between the groups as the graduates share studios, workshops and teaching situations. Both groups have worked this year in the aftershocks of pandemic life and emerge into a world where ecological and political situations are increasingly fraught. But the value of community, imagination and exchange needs to be celebrated, which can be seen amongst the dynamic and diverse range of practice. Urgent questions about the role of art, personally and socially, the need to tell stories and use actions and images to make sense of the world have preoccupied both groups. Graduates speak of setting up open access print workshops, enabling others to share making spaces alongside exhibiting, publishing, researching, and teaching. Working across fashion and textiles, graphic design, architecture and collaborative workshop practices, these graduates are determined to share work and ideas for the benefit of others.
